110807 - For some reason, I’ve never got round to posting some of the incredible work my housemate has produced over the last two years! Maybe it’s that thing that you can’t see the end of your own nose because it’s too close… Anyway - Marcus Andren has produced some fantastic work, and has been duly rewarded with both the RIBA dissertation medal nomination and RIBA silver medal nomination. Pictured above is an image from his final project that concentrated on mediating between the occupants of a court in China. Each player in the court’s system would have a carefully orchestrated path through the building to eliminate possible crossovers and compromises, with the intention of reducing corruption through increasing public involvement with the judicial process. Elegant.
